Moore is a member of the Canadian Association of Journalists and tries to retain a place in his work life for photojournalism and social documentary. This genre of photography, and its requisite industry support structure, is currently undergoing a financial crisis. In December 2008 he travelled to Dem Rep of Congo to document the sexual violence plaguing that failed state. His images are being used by charities, and were seen in The Washington Times and on CTV during a Canada AM interview. In April 2009, Toronto's galleryDK presented a solo exhibition of Moore's conflict photography. The month-long show, "Intersections," garnered national media attention and was the most successful show in the gallery's history. galleryDK featured Moore's work again in February, 2010, in its "Best of 2009" show. In June 2010 The Times of London assigned Moore to revisit DRC with war correspondent Anthony Loyd.
